Alright, it's 4:10AM and I don't think I'm gonna be able to hang in there. I'm also afraid of getting sick, so I think I'd better stop now.

But thank you to everyone for your support. ♥ I couldn't have gotten this far without you. To those of you who are still blogging, good luck!
29th-Jul-2007 03:53 am - 39: Coffee or Tea?
I definitely prefer tea. I drank coffee when I was about ten years old and I'm sure it wasn't good for me. These days, I can't really handle that much caffeine and it's a bad addiction to get into anyway if you ask me. The tea that I drink is usually decaf but with a decent amount of sugar and some honey in it.

But my favorite drink of all is still water.
29th-Jul-2007 03:25 am - 38: I feel some random coming on...
My Good Pal Jake (he made me say that) is recommending that you guys read the following webcomics: http://dresdencodak.com/ and http://xkcd.com/

Considering that this came from Jake, I'm sure the content is questionable. Please proceed with caution.
29th-Jul-2007 02:54 am - 37: Return of the Haiku
Hey, how's it going?
Surely you missed my great haiku
It's back. Back again.

It's now 3AM
And I'm running out of ideas

29th-Jul-2007 02:28 am - 36: About my username
[info]hotarunohikari is "hotaru no hikari" and is Japanese for "light of a firefly." Granted, it does not have a link to my charity, but if you wanted to get poetic, you could compare staying up and blogging to a firefly providing light in the night... or something like that. Really, my brain is kind of fried. Anyway, I basically chose this username because I'm very much in love with the song "Hotaru" by the Japanese band Remioromen.
29th-Jul-2007 01:40 am - 35: Blogathon Meme
Taken from Laurie, who really could use some more sponsors to meet her goal!

What charity are you blogging for, and why?
I am blogging for the National Kidney Foundation because I have seen how my father has suffered from kidney problems and I hope a cure for kidney failure and disease will be found soon.

What’s been the hardest part of the Blogathon for you, so far?
Staying awake! Haha...

Did you have a sponsorship goal? Have you met it?
Since this is my first year, I didn't really have a goal. But I am pretty satisfied with what I've raised so far.

What’s been fun for you, so far?
Reading other people's blogs and winning that contest! Also, I had a lot of fun putting together this blog (I was very picky about the layout and my profile but I like the way it came out!).

Have you met anyone new and cool?
John, my monitor, is cool! I would think that monitoring is not an easy job. Laurie's pretty nifty, too.

Assuming it were possible, would you choose, right now, to time-travel back to the beginning of the Blogathon, with an unflagging supply of energy, or to the end, exhausted but finished?
I think I would choose to go to the end.

What have you been eating today?
Pretty much food that I'd normally eat. Now I'm just having some snacks to get me through the night.

So… whatcha wearing?
Clothing that I would normally wear?

Quick! Three truths and a lie:
I'm tired, I'm hungry, I'm happy to be participating in this, I miss my bed.

What do you most want, right this second?
Uh... a hug. Randomly enough.
In Latin, my favorite word may be "facere" which is the verb meaning "to do" (though it can change meaning depending on context). It's the way the word sounds with a hard "c" that sounds more like a "k" that makes it interesting. My favorite phrase is "rami sunt infirmi," which means "the branches are weak" but literally means that the branches are "ill."
29th-Jul-2007 12:59 am - 33: What I collect
Ever since I was a kid, I've collected trading cards. It started with baseball cards when I was little, then Pokemon cards (I still have all of them, too), then Digimon, then DBZ, then Yu-Gi-Oh (I wasn't half bad at playing the TCG) and then eventually I started collecting the Japanese Prince of Tennis trading cards. I have no idea why I'm so obsessed with them, but I like filling up binders with pretty cards. :D The Pokemon cards and the Prince of Tennis cards are especially nice to look at.

I still buy trading cards these days... at the last convention I went to, I bought some. The only problem is that the store I used to buy PoT cards from has stopped selling them. But I'll find a way!

Ay, casi quiero dormir pero, ¡no! ¡No puedo dormir ahora! Debo bailar. O cantar en voz alta.

... O algo...
